30% OFF for Local Yarn Store Day! Expires 5/1/2022 at 11:59pm Pacific Time

These socks are dedicated to my local yarn store, The Black Squirrel in Berkeley, CA. This place is the most wonderful haven for knitters and yarn folk alike, and the owners and employees the most helpful and encouraging people around. Through this wonderful LYS, I have flourished as a knitter, as a designer, and as a human.

The socks feature an OXO cable down the front, as well as an X-shaped twist cable pattern on the back which evokes the indie-dyed yarn wall at The Black Squirrel. They are knit from the cuff down with a heel flap and gusset construction and a wedge toe.

Links to tutorials are provided for many of the techniques used in this pattern. The pattern includes both charted and written instructions, and are knit from the cuff down with a slip-stitch heel flap and gusset.
