Inspired by the large fluffy snowflakes we see in picturesque winter scenes, the Wonderland Sweater is the perfect cozy layer to throw on before snuggling up near the hearth on a blustery day or venturing into the brisk winter chill to play. A simple half double crochet body panel contrasts with the fabulous snowflake-like texture on the sleeves in a drapey yet warm pullover. The sweater features a v-neck and balloon sleeves that make this garment perfect for dressing up or down. The pattern is in US terminology.

Check out my YouTube video tutorial for creating the split puff gauge swatch for the unique squishy texture on the sleeves!

SIZING
Sizing is based on bust circumference; the garment is designed to have 2-4” of positive ease compared to the bust it is intended to fit. While sizing is based on bust circumference, other measurements within the pattern can easily be changed to fit your unique body type, including torso length, armhole depth, and sleeve length. #sizeinclusive

The Wonderland Sweater is constructed in rows from the bottom of the front panel, up over the shoulders, and down the back panel. The body is then seamed and the bottom ribbing is applied. Yarn is joined at the underarms to start crocheting in joined rounds with a rapid decrease at the cuff before the ribbing.

This sweater is slightly cropped just below the crest of the hip (approximately 1.5” below) with a deep v neck, and balloon sleeves. Instructions are included in the pattern for a crab stitch neckline or a slip stitch neckline to give structure and prevent the v neck from falling off the shoulders, though if your personal preference is for more modesty you can easily adapt the neckline by working fewer stitches around to cinch the neckline in.
