WRAP yourself in KINDNESS –
Because everyone deserves a little KINDNESS in their lives!!
Overview of design:
This is a large rectangular wrap using a Main color and multiple contrasting-colored minis. You can customize the length and width determined by your preferences and the number of colors you choose to use. The examples shown are done in 12 color repeats for a longer wrap.

This pattern was designed to accompany my Advent/Countdown kit for 2022 and was inspired by my need to give myself a little more kindness. Too often, we forget that we need to show the same kindness and grace to ourselves that we give to others.
So, with this pattern, I encourage you to sit, knit, and enjoy the journey. When you are finished- take pleasure in a job well done and Wrap yourself in the Kindness you deserve.

Thank you for purchasing the Countdown Kit or just this pattern. Your kindness makes a difference in my life, and I appreciate you
– Remember that KINDNESS is FREE – I like to sprinkle that stuff on everything. Happy Knitting!

Skill level – Advanced Beginner / Intermediate

Skills Required/Techniques Used
Knit & purl, slip stiches, cast on, Increasing, decreasing, yarnover, beginner lace work. This pattern can be adapted for any combination of Main Color and multiple Contrast Colors and can easily be modified to make a wider wrap or a longer/shorter wrap depending on your preference – Knitter’s choice

MATERIALS:
Suggested Needles – US 6 (4mm) 40” (102 cm) Circular needle (or longer desired length of circular needle)
Yarn required –
Main color: 400-600 yards (365-548 meters) fingering weight yarn
Contrast colors: 12 mini skeins – 60-80 yards (54-73 meters) each in contrasting color fingering weight
Suggested yarn – AlwaysBeKindYarn – super sock base (fingering weight) 75% Superwash Merino / 25% Nylon
Samples use 2021 and 2022 ADVENT kit (1-2 Full skeins of Main color and 12 - 24 minis)
Any fingering/sock weight can be used with a Main color and multiple contrasting-colored mini skeins
Gauge – 24 sts x 28 rows in stockinette stitch over 4 in (10 cm)
Any change to the gauge will result in an overall size difference and impact the yardage required. But since this is not a garment, the gauge isn’t as important for fit.
Pattern notes:
This pattern is designed to fit any yarn kit (or stash yarn) with 1-2 Full skeins and 12-24 minis. You can adapt and adjust the pattern easily to add more or less contrast colors and increase or decrease the cast on stitches or number of repeats to achieve your desired length and width for this wrap.

I used mini skeins from my ADVENT kit from 2021 and color ideas for 2022 ADVENT kit. I love all the colors and you can put them in any order you choose. Play around with your colors and do what feels good to YOU! For a narrower or wider wrap, you can adjust the number of stitches you cast on but should be in multiples of 6 + 6 extra (for edges) Ex. if you want it narrower cast on 96 + 6 or wider you could cast on 144 +6

Modifications for 24 minis: (this option removes the ‘slip dot stitch’ sections in the pattern

Yarn required - main color 400-600 yards – contrast color 24 minis 40-50 yards each

The finished measurements for both the 12 or 24 minis will vary – Projected 20-28” wide x 80-100” long (depending on lace repeats and number of contrast colors)
