This lace scarf was inspired by the functional beauty of vintage wrought iron work. The combination of engaging but easily memorized lace patterns makes a lightweight scarf perfect for fall or spring.

Materials:

  • Approximately 300 yds/275 m of fingering weight yarn
  • US size 5 (3.75 mm) needles
  • Stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle
  • Blocking mat
  • Blocking pins and/or wires

Gauge:

16.5 stitches x25.5 rows = 4 in (10 cm) in lace patterns

Sizing:

7 in (18 cm) wide, 79 in (200 cm) long after blocking. Length is easily adjustable by increasing or decreasing the number of repeats of the body pattern.
