Wusai shawl from Ukrainian “the one with whiskers” is a sister design to a whole Wusai collection including a vest, hat and socks patterns.
It is a modified triangular shaped shawl, in which a central panel is knit top-down and two wings are picked up from the central panel and knit sideways to the tips. The central panel is worked in a textured pattern and the wings in half-twisted ribbing, all framed by cabled edges. Mini tassels are optional and add a cute little touch to an otherwise quite modern and functional piece.
Size
The pattern is written for one size with a finished wing span of ca. 180 cm (72.25 in) and the depth of central panel of ca. 61 cm (24.5 in). See the schematic provided. Directions for size adjustments are also provided.
