“X marks the spot” is a hidden treasure map. With this unique and easy-to-follow stitch pattern you will create gorgeous socks you will treasure. Knit them in jewel tones and knit several pairs, so your sock drawer becomes a treasure trove! These socks are constructed as top down socks with a German short row heel. The colour combination ideas are endless and suitable for using up self-striping sock yarn, combined with a single contrasting color.

Biscotte Yarns Bis-sock (85% merino wool 15% nylon
100 g - 400 m) Self-striping and semi-solid colourway.
Colors used in sample & yardage:
Poire: approx. 40g.
Chouette: approx. 40g.

Needles:
Five 2.50 mm double pointed needles or size needed to attain gauge.

Other Notions:
– Stitch markers 2, ring markers (optional)
– Tapestry needle

Final Measurements:
Notice that the socks stretches and comes loose after blocking and the first times used. Unfinished work should feel a bit “tight” so that the sock would still fit nicely the foot after you have finished your work by wet blocking.
