This pattern is worked with the granny stitch and x stitches. You can use any size yarn for this project. I used red heart in the colors white and pool. I only did a small sample. You can make eww it as big as you want. You will need a 6.50mm hook for worsted weight yarn and a 5mm hook for a DJ weight.
