I have also found that you don’t need a lot of yarn to make most doll clothes, especially if you are using 4 ply yarn. You usually only need up to 1 ball at the most. So it’s a great way, to use up spare yarn.
I used 4 ply yarn and 3.00 mm crochet hook for dress, Depending on the size hook you use and the size of yarn, your finished product may measure differently.

Abbreviations in US terms
MR =Magic ring
CH = chain
ST = stitch
SC – single crochet
INC= increase (2 SC in one ST}
DEC = decrease ( 2 SC together}
SL ST = slip stitch
DC = double crochet
DC INC = 2 DC in one ST
HDC = half double crochet
( ) = repeat instructions in brackets as per number of times indicated
