This cowl is knit in the round with mosaic knit (slipped stitch) stripes. I designed this cowl with non-superwash wool, so it has some structure, if you choose to knit with superwash yarn, there will be much less structure to the finished cowl.

I was looking at the mini skein set I got from Wooly Witch of the West and started to think of wild flowers. Then the song, Wildflowers by Tom Petty started to run in my head. This song inspired the name ‘You Belong’, for this fun and pretty cowl, because we all belong among the wildflowers.

Sample was knit with a 5 skein mini set of non-superwash fingering weight yarn naturally dyed by Wooly Witch of the West. The main color is The Fiber Co. Cumbria Fingering “Catbells’. I used 52g of the MC and just over 6g of each CC. There is a matching fingerless mitts pattern as well, with the same yarn. You can knit both the cowl and the mitts with 100g of MC and 10g of each CC.
