Ysabell’s Washcloth is a practical yet graceful washcloth, inspired by Death’s daughter, Lady Ysabell Death-Sto Helet, from Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series. It is useful for wiping chocolate smudges off fingers, dust off books, or one’s brow when calculating death nodes.

I discovered the stitch when I misread a friend’s instructions for crocheting a blanket. It is a 4 stitch repeat.

The size can be adjusted up or down by adding or subtracting repeats or rows, or by using a different sized hook, or different weight yarn.
