This is the second project in the 2 Great Makes supplement which was enclosed with Let’s Knit! Magazine 34, September 2010, and designed for use with the set of 5mm dpns given free with the same magazine. A tutorial for using dpns is included on page 30 of Magazine 34.

It’s a pair of ribbed and cabled women’s ankle socks in 100g of recommended aran-weight yarn. Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran is suggested as an althernative. The socks are made in normal in-the-round top-down manner, with eyelets just below the cuff for the pom-pom cord.

A cable needle is required. There is a stitch pattern chart for the cable section, and a panel explaining how to make pom-poms.
