Zebra print blanket made using the ever popular overlay mosaic technique. This delightful pattern, written in English, includes fully written out instructions plus charts in UK and US terms to enable you to make your own afghan or throw in any size you require.

All you need to know are basic crochet stitches, the technique of making the pattern appear is fully explained with a picture tutorial. You use one colo(u)r per row so there’s no fiddling about with bobbins or changing mid row

All the ends are tidied away in an envelope border which again - is fully explained - in English - with a picture tutorial.

The blanket in the main photograph measures 35 in / 89 cm wide x 39 in / 99 cm long (including border). The pattern is seamless so it can be sized up or down very easily.

I used Scheepjes Colour Crafter yarn in Wert (shade 1001) and Ede (1002) to make this afghan but any Double Knitting/Light Worsted (8 Ply) yarn may be substituted. To make the blanket shown a total of approx 700g / 2100m is required.

A chart is provided (with ‘x’s) for experienced crocheters but you do not have to read charts to make this blanket, every row is written out in full as well.

A typical hook to use is 4mm (G/6). Depending on yarn thickness, you may have to adjust hook size to achieve the same gauge as mine.
