Zeon is a striking semi-circular shawl with a textured pattern of radiating lines making hearts which flow and expand toward the outer edge of the shawl.

The design is an exploration of what would happen if Wholehearted was knit in stripes, and uses a very similar construction method to that pattern.

The shawl begins with a smooth stockinette yoke circled by a reverse stockinette ridge which introduced the contrast colour, after which the shawl is worked in stripes and slip stitches, using increases and decreases to make the slip lines oscillate in ever increasing waves.

The design suits any blocking-friendly fingering weight yarn in a pair of contrasting or complementary solid, semi-solid, or gradient colours.

It includes 2 sizes (the small is pictured here) with a few repeatable rows at the end to mop up any extra yardage. For a somewhat larger shawl, use a heavier fingering weight & larger needles.

Please note this design is charts only, with notes in English.
