Zig Zag Scarf to fit ages 3-6 and 7-10 yrs

Who is this for?

I love knitting scarves lengthwise. There may be more stitches on the needles, but with so little length to work through it feels like such a speedy knit!

This scarf pattern is ideal for you if you have some experience in FairIsle, or stranded, colour knitting, you need to understand the basics of knitting, and be able to ‘pick up stitches’ or be willing to learn!
Only knit and purl is used, across garter stitch and stocking-stitch (stockinette).

To knit this you will need:
Chunky (bulky) yarn in main and contrast,

200g Main colour to knit scarf, with 100g contrast

You’ll need 6.5mm needles. (can use single pointed, but circular needle without joining stitches is recommended)

Also needed are a measuring tape, scissors and knitter’s sewing needle or tapestry needle.
