The 4 seasons collection is a group of seasonal shawls, wraps, shrugs, capes and a hat that give you all the flexibility you need to knit for your climate and with any yarn!

The patterns in this collection share several themes:

• stitch patterns are fairly uncommon (no miles of stockinette here!) but reasonably simple to do - expand your library of knit stitches!!
• all make use of non-standard constructions that are beautifully effective and easy to learn: provisional cast ons, diagonal construction, center-out bi-directional lace, applied edgings, and more!
• most patterns include several mix-and-match elements, multiple yarn options, and suggestions for customizing them to make them uniquely yours.
• all stitch patterns have full video tutorials which show and explain in detail how the stitch works and/or how you can easily memorize it to get away from the pattern so you can just knit!

As a knitting teacher and pattern designer, my passion is to help knitters to truly understand knitting - not to simply follow a pattern. I believe that if we understand why we knit the way we do (Why do certain stitches behave that way? Why does stitch mount matter? Why are increases sometimes knit open and sometimes twisted?) that we can become more skilled at our craft, flexible in application of techniques, and skilled at finding and fixing our mistakes.
