The Nearly Spring Wrap is a rectangular version of the Nearly Spring Capelet, It uses the same stitches and increases to give you a stretchy and very drapey fabric on the diagonal.

Nearly Spring is the perfect mix and match pattern and is infinitely adjustable to your tastes. The overall structure is very basic and the textured panels can be knit in any order. Each texture stitch is fully described and includes a video tutorial. Also included is a video tutorial on M1L/R – never forget which is which or how to make them again!

This pattern in suitable for an adventurous beginner who has a good handle on knit and purl and is ready to learn more! Stitch and row descriptions are written with the beginner in mind, but in a separate stitch dictionary so that advanced knitters can breeze through the abbreviated pattern without getting bogged down.

I have to say, that when I blocked my XL and discovered that it wanted to be 88” long, I was afraid that I had made a huge mistake. But I was SO wrong. It’s amazing at that length! Not only does it hang to mid-shin on my beautiful 5’3” daughter, but it can also double and pull through like a skinny scarf AND wrap 1-2 times around the shoulders to be pinned for layered warmth on cool evenings. The Rios on slightly-too-large needles gives a fantastic drape. But you can also make a shorter version! Each repeat of textures is around 20” wide when blocked. You can add or remove repeats to change the length.

• Regular Size – 28” wide x 68” long
• Extra Long – 28” wide by 88” long 

You can also knit to any width you like, and make the corner while working any texture. It doesn’t even need to be symmetrical on opposite ends! Just turn the corner anytime!
