Notes

I used Berroco comfort DK for this blanket, I wanted a bigger, thinner blanket. I doubled the chart width-wise and height-wise. I sewed the steek with a sewing machine since this yarn is very slippery.

I picked up stitches all around the blanket and then knit a simple border, I binded off on three sides and then purled a row and then just knit wide bands of colour down the back, I used a full skein of each of the colours in the blanket and repeated a couple.

Then I sewed down the edges with the brown using a crochet hook so it looks like a single row of knit stitches (I had better plans for the edging but ran out of time - birthday present and this was the fastest solution I could come up with).

The side edges curled a bit, so then I did the same crochet along those two sides of the colourwork, basically attaching the front to the knit back the same way I did the far edge, making sure the back fabric was pulled a bit tighter along the edge (it’s hard to explain). So the back shows 2 seams going down the blanket but who looks at the back ;)
