Notes

When I was writing up the pattern, I could not decide how to work the brim. I ripped out several times, unable to decide between a regular 2x2 rib with alternating color rows, or the corrugated rib.

In the end, I decided to go with the corrugated rib because I could get the patterning to match the colorwork design in the body of the beret, and also, I was doing alternating color rows in another hat that I was designing for BBR.

I actually really love this patterning (inspired by mid-century modern furniture) and I’d really love to make another one to wear myself, but alas, a designer hardly ever has time to knit for herself, even if it’s her own pattern.

If you haven’t ever used BBR yarn before, this yarn is yummo. Being a luxury yarn, this one is not as big of an investment since you are only using 2 skeins. You won’t need the whole skein either and can probably make another small hat or accessory with the leftover portion
