Cast on on US 4’s for size 1. Followed directions because the results are so lovely. I’m used to working from charts and found myself flailing through the written instructions. I put markers in to separate the starred sections and help with counts.

Row 23-25 really spun me for a loop! After I backtracked several times, I finally got it right. I had to just get rid of the markers on row 24.

I wish the pattern included instructions for 2 colors. I began the black on row 29 or 30. I probably should have done it a bit sooner, but it still looks as I imagined. I used 2 strands of Malabrigo lace and one strand of the Berroco Aerial. The colors remind me of blackwatch plaid.

I ended up with a few more stitches at the divide. As usual, to fit my odd figure, I divided: 59-53-77-53-59 and added 6 underarm stitches.

For sleeves, after stitch pick up, reduced to 62 sts. I knit 3” and then decreased to 60 sts. 24 rows of ribbing for cuff.
