7/2/19--Finished over the weekend and had spouse shoot me Monday. It turned out much bigger than I expected, but it may shrink a little in the washing machine. If it doesn’t, that’s okay. A beach cover-up that’s a little loose is a good thing. I’m happy with it. But I have once again reminded myself not to skip making a gauge swatch.

6/2/19--Because the yarn is considered laceweight, I cast on for a size 5 inches larger than my bust, expecting to end up with about 2 inches of positive ease. I didn’t do a gauge swatch, so I’m gambling. Let’s see how this turns out.

MODS: Used laceweight yarn instead of sport. Added additional eyelet rows for extra length.

NOTES FOR FUTURE ATTEMPTS, IF ANY: Check that neckline. It turned out very deep and wide, but that may have been the result of knitting a size 3 sizes bigger than I actually wear.
