June 4, 2025: It’ summer again and there are way too many things going on including a ton of travel. Need some zen knitting; hitchhiker to the rescue.

Knit Picks Purple: 14 teeth including set up tooth. Starting with a 108.2g skein.
Used --g of yarn.

I added beads this time.
Miyuki 8/0 Transparent Rainbow Light Magenta Hex Cut Beads.
1.1mm (Boye size 11) crochet hook to place the bead on the stitch.
I tried different methods and this is what I finally settled for: On Row 8, pick up a bead with a crochet hook. With the bead on the hook, pick up the first stitch purlwise with the crochet hook and slip the bead on it. Then transfer the st from the crochet hook to the RHN wyif. Next, take the yarn to the back, knit the next stitch and pass the beaded stitch over, thus binding off the beaded stitch. The beaded stitch is just slipped; it is not knitted or purled. Continue with the remaining bind-off sts as per pattern.

Number of sts after each pattern repeat: If N represents the number of teeth (staring from the set up tooth), the number of sts on the needle at the end of the 8th row of every repeat is equal to:
2 + 4N, N=1 for the setup tooth, N=2 for the first tooth of the body, etc. The stitch count is 6 after the setup row and increases by 4 after every subsequent repeat.
