Dec 5, 2016: Long Tail Tubular Cast on 96 sts with US #5 straight needles and with the help of this video on Long tail tubular cast on by Ysolda Teague. Scroll down the page to find the video. Worked the first two set up rows (where you knit the knit stitch and slip the purl stitch) on straight needles. Then transferred the sts to US #6 circulars while at the same time re-arranging the sts for a 2x2 rib.

Knit for 9.25” before beginning decreases.

Instead of 4 sections of 28 sts I have 4 sections of 24 sts.

Stopped alternate row decreases after Row 15 with 10 sts between markers. k the knits and p the purls on Row 16. Did every row decrease beginning with Row 17 until 16 sts remained.

I did not block the hat. It is snug and warm. Easy and functional pattern.

Measurements:
Unblocked: 11.25 inches long and 22 inches wide.
