Trust the directions. Read them through then begin. (A silly purl starter row in the lace makes that the reverse side.) It all works out in the end, just like a puzzle.

Am on the second lace part. Hope to move past it today then on the home stretch.

Trust the directions! And if you make a mistake on the lace, there’s a purl row between each lace row to frog back to, easily. Relax. You’ve got this!

(One easy technique is to say the steps out loud as you do the lace (y/o) rows. On the easy purl rows, count each stitch out loud. You will keep your place and the correct stitch count.)

This easily blocks to a perfect triangle with all straight edges.

I’m working on the decorative bind off. Someone questioned the directions but they are as written. Check the pattern for any updates since publication. The current one explains all. Trust the directions and you will create the same shawl.
