Re-doing Cotton Top in this lovely ultra fine Pima cotton.
Pattern is very easy to knit, but the skilled part comes in with the cording. I bought it on line, by the yard. The thinner, the more flexible and easier to apply/sew on. Joanne’s had great stuff but ours closed:(
Flexible cording with lip is easy, but I got this thicker, 1/4 inch cording with lip (you need the lip!) and it made it go from very easy to medium because you have to be more exact in measuring and applying it. I even give directions on covering your stitches so it looks good from both sides. But I love the look, especially with my white capri jeans or shorts. Will look great with a jean skirt, too.
My pattern will include hints for a professional finish, simple things that will help you if you’re not a sewer. There are only a few yards of sewing in the entire thing. The cording is less sewing that the sides.
