Notes

To obtain a smaller hole in center of anemone, I did a starting ch of 5, instead of 8.

Using the brights I had in my stash.

I decided on Clue #1 that I didn’t like the look of the orange petals with the purple center, so I swapped it around with the teal/yellow.

4/4: I love my anemones, but with Clue #2 giving us more flowers (meadow, duh…I should have known), then I’m currently undecided if I need to rethink using all 5 colors in the first clue. Decisions. Decisions.

5/10: Once again I’ve been at a stand-still over my color choices. I still love the bright colors, and I’m liking that some flowers use all of the colors, and others stick to just one or two colors. But, that’s made it difficult to decide on which remaining colors to use for Clues 5 and 6.
Clue 7 is easy however; going with the purple to make purple wood roses. Which, has me thinking of using the blue to make Clue 5, and using all colors for Clue 6. - Decisions, decisions.

Clue 7: Smaller hole by chaining 4 instead of 5 foe starting chain.

6/16/16: Clue 10: I’ve decided that I don’t like the yellow and pink border and am going to rip it out/frog it and redo in a different combination of colors.
I do like the pink and yellow together, but will be using that combo later on in a different part of the edging….maybe for Clue 11.

07/09/16: After waiting to see what the remaining borders look like, I’ve decided not to do them all. The borders themselves are really nice, but I strongly feel like the “field” of flowers gets lost and the blanket starts looking too busy….especially in the brighter colors I’ve chosen to use. - I’ll definitely be using some of the borders on other projects though.

06/26/17: This has been sitting in a plastic bin for nearly a year as I decided whether or not to keep going with the border. Looking at again with “fresh eyes”, I’ve decided to stop where I’m at. I really like the look of the border, and still feel that adding any more detail or color will just spoil it. Plus, it’s still a nice size to wrap up in, or use for a child’s blanket.
