Swatch:

2: guage.

I swatched three different needle sizes, but once I went to measure, the first one hit it! Didn’t even bother measuring the other two.

May 1-- reached the ends of the fronts and the backs! I’d decided to work the three simultaneously, considering the inevitable tangle (I can manage two, but three eludes me) worthwhile in order to be done at once.

And then I laid it out. The fronts were longer than the back. Considerably. And obviously due to the different decrease rate following the underarm stitches being set aside.

I took a good long look and think. Should I trust the designer and go on? Or? What?

I reread the pattern.

All my fault. There is NOT a different decrease rate. Ripped back the fronts and redid them. Thanks to a jour ferie by the end of the day, I was back where I’d started, except everything lined up nicely.

:--)

(When steam blocking, the sweater smells sheepy!)

May 3-- decided to 3 needle bind off the sleeves from the wrong sides, as I’m accustomed to doing. And I got the first sleeve cap knit! Now to get the second one done, then I’ll knit the sleeves down together.
