super quick knit. I did a provisional cast on of course. Knit about 7” then I joined my provisional cast on and continued to knit in the same direction for another inch. THEN I turned my work and continued to knit the hat as written.
I find the original pattern is written sloppy and unnecessarily complicating and WAY over priced for what it is. I payed over $7 CDN for this pattern. It should only be $3
No provisional cast on? turning the hat at the point that it is turned is also not necessary. All of this adds so much bulk to the finished product.
Do a provisional cast on and don’t turn your work right away. underneath that hat is smooth and seamless.

All blocked and I really like the hat. I did not make it super slouchy. I am 43 years old and don’t want to look stupid lol
But I am knitting another one for my 1 year old daughter and will make it more slouchy for her.
