Notes

Haven’t gotten started with the lessons yet but stopped by Mockingbird Moon today to pick up this new yarn. Arenda Holladay suggested the change because my other yarn was super “twist-y” {my phrase, not hers} which made for… interesting gauge issues.

This colorway is called “spring chick” and though, not exactly, my power color of bold yellow I’m pretty sure this will help get me through the dark winter.

I sent off my completed searches today. Sometime yesterday I really fell in love with this project. I had just completed my last swatch and was weaving in the ends and I felt a really fun sense of accomplishment.
I had worried when starting this set of lessons that I was “wasting time” on projects that weren’t really “real” projects. But something about finishing up the lace helped me realize that learning IS the project. Of everything.
