Not sure what’s going on with my row gauge but I’m pretty happy with the fabric on these needles so I think I’ll go ahead.
This pattern is beautifully written, and I am learning to love working in heavier yarns as the projects go so quickly.
I’m a bit anxious about my sleeves as the cuffs seem big. Have checked pattern schematic and gauge and I’m going to persevere in the recommended size for a bit longer.
Right sleeve
I did 23 rows ribbing.
First inc done after 14.5cm stocking
Then 14 rows between increases 5 times total, then every 16 rounds, once
I knit 50cm (19.75”) stocking total
Looking at the pictures, it is really obvious where I have changed skeins. I’m leaving it as there’s no way I’m ripping back all that perfectly good knitting. I know they recommend alternating skeins with hand-dyed yarns but that sounds like too much bother. I was vaguely considering overdyeing this cardigan away as I much prefer my colours to look solid.

Completed saddle shoulder for the first time. I’m really happy with how this cardigan is progressing

Knitting the shawl collar is quite hard going as the rows are so long. I think I have made a mistake somewhere as I think my buttonholes are on the wrong side. Grr.
February
Yep, I did make a mistake, I think I misread the pattern and knitted one less row of garter before doing the buttonhole row, but I couldn’t bring myself to rip back.
The i-cord bind off takes FOREVER but it is totally worth it. It is beautiful.
Love the pockets. It took me longer to sew them down securely and invisibly than it did to actually knit them!
I really hope this yarn wears well as this cardigan makes me want to weep with joy. I can see why people are so crazy about Brooklyn Tweed.
