I heavily modified this pattern to use up scraps from a Zion Lion I made. This a great project for using up scraps of this yarn. Knitting on 6.5mm needles gives a very tight fabric and ensures that no stuffing will peek out. I may tinker with this pattern further- since I was making it up as I went along, it definitely didn’t finish as a hippo but as a cute animal of unclear genus.
