The red skein is a bit special because it’s got an interesting backstory. It’s the skein my husband used when he proposed to me in August 2015. He bought it for me from a local yarn store as a “birthday present” and had stuffed the ring inside the skein before giving it to me. I have so many fond memories related to that one single skein of yarn that I treasured it for many years, but I think it’s time to put it to use on something I will likely use for a long time.

And due to a miraculously well placed pooling, the variegated yarn is actually looking much like a gradient on the top neck portion, it’s just so perfect!!

Just like the first one I made, I cast-on with color B only instead of the two color cast-on, and reached the specified length for the neck in less repeats than the pattern called for (21 instead of 25 for the neck), but any otherwise follower the pattern exactly.
