Notes

Want to use my fingering yarns leftovers and will do this one again, a little less wide.

If I go for 142 cm around and 55 cm long (to add brioche/ribbing), I will have to cast on 132 stitches app.

Plan to do a much less deep neck opening, maybe only about 2 cm worth in, and no v-neck, but more of a boat neck. Want to do 22 cm neck width.

So for 142 around, that gives me 71 cm per side, i.e. 24.5 cm width before doing the neckline for 22 cm, then 24.5 cm again for the other half of the front, then again 71 cm straight for the second half.

Will cast on 132 stitches to give me app. 55 cm length, in broken seed stitch

Nearly forgot about the decreases at the side of the fronts, will k2tg at the end of wrong side rows until I have decreased 16 stitches

Started with that at the end of the sixth row after knitting straight.

April 21, 2025

Finished middle pink panel, now working on the second red front panel.

May 13, 2025

Finished front, now working on the back, a bit over the middle with the second light pink ball -will probably not have enough to make it symetrical…

May 25, 2025

Decided the body is done, will use a crochet cast off.
Will have to do some surgery as I forgot to leave an open space for the armhole before starting the back - grr….

My gauge is 24 instead of 18 stitches for 10 cm, so I will do the sleeve for 77 instead of 58 stitches, i.e 38 stitches per side and will then decrease down to app. 60 stitches for the cuff.

May 28, 2025

Finished collar (and shoulder wedges before that, of course).
My sweater surgery got a little bumpy, I assume I will have to do some mending in addition to make sure the sleeve does not unravel.

June 2, 2025

Finished I cord edgings around, picked up around the armholes, will just do some 2 by 2 ribbing for about 10 cm or so.

June 16, 2025

Finally took in-wear photos. I am not sure about the neckline- it is a summer sweater, after all, so it might as well work as it is - will think about it a little
