First try with pink yarn and 1.75mm needle. Because of a sore elbow I had to stop knitting. Maybe a few days rest and I can try again?
In the meantime I can undo my first sock and string a few beads….

Fresh start: better beads (I hope the hook goes through more easily), using one long strand in the middle for 2 rays, and light colored yarn (so that I can actually see what I am doing). Using 2mm needles for the sock and 2.25mm needles for the cuff.

March 15, 2026

Submitted the finished socks and was told I made a mistake at the cuff of the second sock. Fortunately, reknitting the cuff can fix this.
