  • CO 16 st, Judy’s Magic CO - using CC1 on a 2.5mm
  • Inc to 60 st using m1r/m1l, k 10 rnds, change to MC
  • 31 st on instep, 29 on sole
  • iK n MC/CC2 stripes (making texture in broken-seed-stitch variation on instep by ribbing on variegated yarn, k with single color yarn)
  • start gusset after 21 stripes and inc to 61 st on instep (to get longer hellflap)
  • k using CC1, make German short rows and turn heel over 27+2 stitches
  • make stripes in MC/CC2 until I ran out of CC2
  • Rib in CC1 (k1tbl,p1) 25 rnds
