Named after the old TV commercial “RRRRuffles have RRRRRidges!”

Inspired by Dena Kay Weaver and followed her notes.

Made a basic chevron blanket changing 4 row blocks of rainbow colors with 4 rows of white/gray/white/gray in between each color.

On the 3rd row of each color block, crocheted in the BLO (back loop only) to give the ruffles a place to anchor.

After finishing the basic blanket, I went back to the BLO rows and did 3 DC with larger hook in each loop to create the ruffles.

Border is SC, HDC, SC then I went around with surface stitch to box or square off the finished edge.

Finished size is 34” x 40”

P.S. The back is just as pretty without the ruffle! Would be suitable for a boy if a ruffle isn’t desired! :D
