Making this for the soon-to-be granddaughter of a friend of Erin.
The pattern for this is out of print so I’m trying to recreate it based on everyone else’s project photos. Eeep!
Casting on 84 sts. Making 7 base triangles by 9 side triangles. Will pick up and knit border later.

Taking this on our trip to the New River Gorge in southern WV. Easy trip knitting!

The fabric on this is quite thin. I see others have lined the back with polar fleece. Depending on when Lilly Jo is due, I might suggest that for this blanket. We’ll see!

Little Lilly Jo decided to make her debut 2 months early, so this just got bumped to the top of my work pile!
Bought some lovely white with pink paisley microfiber/suede to back this with, along with some pink satin blanket edging and thread. Did that before I knew she had been born and when I’m only halfway through knitting. Must have had a premonition!

Finished knitting and now it’s blocking! 36”x36”

Finished this up last night. Couldn’t find a straight pin in my house to save my soul, so I had to pick up some before I could assemble the blanket. Left about 2 1/2” of backing around the edge to fold up to give the edging a little bit of bulk. Then sewed the satin blanket edging all the way around. It turned out pretty nice I think. After everything, the final size of the entire blanket was 30”x36”. Perfectly baby sized!
