Love the pattern for the hat so far! I added one extra row of increases because my nephew is a tall teen (and getting taller!) and I don’t want him to outgrow it in a month. I’m using this pattern for the helmet and horns, but will use another pattern (TBD) for the beard.

I ended up changing the helmet pattern a little more, and love the results! I used the H hook until the very last row, when I went down to a G, and I did a row of back-loop-only before and after the bobbles. I improvised the horns -- wish I’d made them a little longer, but I can do that next time. I also improvised the beard, and LOVE how it came out. I sewed buttons inside the helmet so you can wear it with or without the beard.

Really thrilled with how this one came out -- can’t wait to get a picture of my nephew wearing it!
