Instead of the yarn the pattern called for, I used a fine cotton yarn, so I reduced the needle size. The pattern body is straight and the row stitch count varies. I wanted more shaping, so I used needle sizes 4, 5, and 6 to get the results I sought. also, I changed the neckline, as you can see in the photos. It’s an easy pattern, and fun and pretty.

I debated whether or not to add sleeves of some sort.

8/12/13 - Yup. Decided to knit in sleeves, from shoulder to elbow. But will it turn out as desired…stay tuned.

8/16/13 - completed sleeves, picked up stitches around armhole and knit sleeves in the round.
