Swatched in US 4 and US 2.5, garter stitch, continental. After blocking and letting the swatches rest, the 2.5 shrunk back down, so 4 is a better match.

Yarn

This yarn is SO SOFT.

Pattern

The pattern is a bit tricky to read:

The section called “PATTERN” starts with a descriptive summary, then has a legend of different stripe patterns, then has cast-on instructions on page 6 of 6. The section “STRIPE ORDER” might be better described by the heading “PATTERN”, since this is where you cast on.

Then the pattern calls the set-up rows R0-R4, then the first stripe is a garter stripe and the pattern says “repeat R1-R2 n times” but this is not R1 and R2 from the previous step, but R1 and R2 from the garter stripe pattern 2 pages previous. I think it could have been a helpful to have used G1-G2 for the garter stripe pattern, E1-E4 for the eyelet stripe pattern, N1-N14 for the nepp stripe pattern, etc., to make it a bit clearer. But I think I’ll catch on pretty quickly regardless.

I can’t wait to get further into this, it looks like such a pretty design!
