Notes

I’m knitting this scarf based entirely on memory. I know I have this magazine buried somewhere, but I just can’t be bothered to dig it out. So, adventure!

6/11/11:
CO 90 sts. Garter stitch 40 rows in olive green, knitting the first stitch and slipping the second stitch with the yarn in back all the way across.

Continuing in green, knit and slip only the first ten stitches, turn, work back across the ten stitches. Repeat until there are 200 rows worked (possibly more). Place these on a holder.

Get gray, knit the next ten stitches in the same way for 200 rows. Put stitches on holder.

Get cream, repeat.

Repeat with green, gray, and cream twice more.

Still haven’t decided if I’m going to do them in the same order (green, gray, cream, green, gray, cream, green, gray, cream) or mix it up a little (green, gray, cream, cream, gray, green, green, gray, cream) or something totally different.

Once I’m knit all the bands to the proper length, I’ll put each one on its own stitch holder, braid them, and put them all back on my needles. Then, just knit for another 40 rows and it’s done!
