I first used half this ball to make this hat a different way.

Yarn measured 24+g and ran out just shy of a few rows. I cinched closed with 6 instead of 4 sts per needle. The previous hat was pointy anyway.

I forgot to use smaller needles on the bottom. That probably used the extra yarn. And I purl tighter and this way has fewer purls.
