A very well written pattern for a classic that will get you started on building your child’s basic wardrobe. Of all the sweaters I’ve knit for my grandson, I think this is probably the most practical for an everyday sweater, but a classic V in a solid or subtly heathered yarn, minus the stripes, would be beautiful for a dressy occasion sweater. You can’t go wrong with a basic V.
