A darling grandpa sweater for my little grandson. He is a very big three year old and I made the size six and it’s a little big on him, but rather too big than too small.

You can make this with or without pockets, but I will say Carter was thrilled when he discovered the pockets! The chest pocket was a new method for me and made a snug little pocket. I loved Lisa’s buttonholes--very easy to do and very tidy. Everything else was pretty straight forward; knit top down and at the end stitches were picked up for the peaked shawl collar and button/buttonhole bands. A lovely little classic.
