Yeah, so, about that not starting new large projects until I clear the field of backlog…
This is a rectangular wrap using the dragon scales - done a little more open gauge than usual.
Worked in the round outer edge inward - 980 stitches CO! but it decreases quickly.
only the outer edges will be scales the center will be garter. Seamed along the center.
The project has turned the corner! (haaah Groan)
Beginning to stripe in the second color…
Good progress into the garter middle area 7/14
This is going so quickly - it cranks right out compared to working it truly flat. I really don’t know why I didn’t think of working one this way sooner for the flat effect without actually working it flat.
7/16 Blocking

Notes..
I did not need to get into the 5th Cake (Yerba) I had waiting in the wings.
DIY Gradient Method - 2 Colors/4 Cakes (each cake was also slightly different in depth of color)

Look at me being all organized
Writing down my notes- in multiple places - including an on the laptop draft of each new project.
I feel so productive. Until I remember my backlog of stuff I did not make notes or drafts for.
It’s heavier than the average wrap but not terribly so. I worked this on US 8 so the stitches are a bit less dense than my other worsted weight Dragons. Weighs 378 grams / 13.3 ounces.
This one @ 33 reps by 7 reps per side
measured 15” (38 cm) Wide by 76” (193 cm) Long
In the end I decided I did not like this amount of contrast between the colorways. It looks nice in person but does not photograph well at a distance. Went with a more plain and evenly matched in tone combo for the final sample - also shortened and widened the piece.
