I will make parts of this project, maybe a cushion or a wallhanging.
Today, I found some sock yarn in my stash. This will result in a smaller version than the original.
I drew extra lines in the face pattern grid every 10 stitches, to count the stitches more easily, and begun to crochet the face. I will only work some rows every day, and take good time for this project.

11.april
The face is finished. I made some extra light yellow stitches on the nose (lower left) and moved the edge stitches one stitch to the left side of the nose. (The chart differs from the photo in the pattern, and I wanted to be the nose more like the picture than the chart.)

12.april
Finished with the halo. Made some modifications. The most important are:

• I changed the color in rows 10 and 12 (light yellow), sc in both rows are worked in front loops.

• Row 14: All sts are worked in back loop. Instead of the 183 dc, I made increases and worked as following: #10dc, 2dc in next st# 16 times; end with 6 dc, 1 dc and 1 hdc in same st, sl st between the next two rows.

• Row 15: I changed to color natural white (same color as the face). All sts are worked in back loops. Instead of the sc, I worked slip-stitches.

13.april:
One large square finished. I used some Regia sock yarn in the middle, and Drops delight in the outer rounds.
