Notes

I would have made gauge with a fingering weight yarn, but I thought the fabric would be too light based on previous experience so I’m holding the yarn double.

I felt that the top was too skimpy so I ended up doing three extra rows of crochet around the neck. It definitely needs to be under a fair bit of tension to get the look in the pattern photo. I expect you want that tension so that is doesn’t sag when wet.

If I were to do it again, I’d do short rows at the center back waist to level it out. The ribbing dips in the center back with the completely straight too edge. I think just doing the shorts would fix the problem, but I can’t be sure since I didn’t try it.
