Notes

I had a silly quaggan charr idea a while ago, and I wanted to make it come true!

Festive Quaggan Charr is assembled! She’s turning out better than I thought she would. I still have to do her fur markings; that’s why her mouth is still open, makes it easier to work the embroidery. Also - doh, I forgot the claws on her feet, again… despite reminding myself last post to do it. >.>

If you want to go ahead and make your own derpy quaggan charr, I’ll post my notes here so you don’t have to wait however many months for me to compile the notes and take pictures for the pattern.

—————————————————————————————

First of all, you’ll need to make the quaggan from here. Credits go to Alina!

The body and the belly are the same, except you’ll want to stop when you have 6 stitches left in the row. That means you’ll work it like normal and end after you complete Row 42 on the body, and Row 36 on the belly.

The legs stay the same as the pattern states.

For the arms, you’ll want to work them as the pattern says. It’s the fingers/claws that are different. You can either choose to use the same colored yarn, or switch to a different colored yarn. For the fingers/claws, when you make a finger, at the end of the chain when you go back and work the finger/claw, sl st in first chain and then sc in rest. This will help give the tips of the claws a point. These are the numbers of chains you will need for each finger/claw - thumb - 5 chs. index and pinky - 6 chs. ring - 7 chs. middle - 8 chs.

—————————————————————————————

For the charr parts, we’ll use the parts I made for the Derpy Charr. I’m still working on her, but it’s hard because SOMEONE (aka a lil’hyperactive kitten) keeps losing the pieces. If you want to make your own derpy charr – go ahead! Just use the derpy charmander by aphid777 for the head, body, and legs, and the charr notes on here for the charr pieces.

Assembly:

No, just no. I refuse to take pictures to show you how to assemble it. You’ll just have to figure it out yourself! … ok, maybe in the future I’ll take pictures and explain how.

If I remember tomorrow, or the next time I work on the quaggan charr, I’ll work on the claws for the feet. I’m not even supposed to be working on this, I have Christmas presents to work on! Gah.

Also, I’m debating if I should add a charr nose/mouth, or if I should leave it flat like a quaggan. I guess we’ll see when I do the markings.
