Hopefully this blanket will be for my new grandchild due in November, if it’s a girl. Update: No, new granddaughter, it’s another boy, so this blanket is up for grabs to the next girl to be born to my daughter Susie’s friends.

This one has been gifted to baby Margot Daphne who was born on the 24th July 2022.

I made one of these for my grandson Lenny here. It is a lovely light shawl type blanket suitable to wrap newborns in.

Border:

sc all around. (When working the top and bottom sk one st over the ch 2 spaces.

Rounds 1-4 V stitch (dc, ch 2 dc) V stitch, ch 2, V stitch for corner.

Round 5. 6dc in corner ch 2. Evenly space 6 dc clusters all around. I placed the clusters in the ch 2 space and skipped the next ch 2 space and place sc into the next v (not ch 2 space)
