Gifted to baby Gabriel born in January 2021 amid Corona Virus Lock-Down. Welcome to the world baby Gabriel.

I already made this blanket in grey and white here.

I decided to make another one for one of the other new babies due soon.

The colours will be suitable for a girl or boy and I decided to make the diamond again, as we don’t know until the baby is born.

As I crochet tightly, my sc stitches are quite shallow, so I substituted the English DK stitches with US hdc.

I added 4 extra stitches to the width. 141 ch = 139hdc.

What I did to make flower into diamond:

Before row 6 an after row 10 of flower pattern:

Ch 1, 9 hdc (mb, 19 hdc) x 6 mb 9 hdc

Before row 16 and after row 20

Ch 1 ,19 hdc (mb, 19 hdc) x 5 mb, 19 hdc

Border:

1. I went around the whole banket with sc, using grey on grey and white on white to get a neater finish.
2. Crab stitch (reverse sc) all around in grey.
