This was a fun project to make and much easier than it looks at first thanks to great instructions from the designer. I found that having the stitch count provided for every section extremely useful, as was the recommendation to use stitch markers every 10 stitches to help with counting.

Other makers mentioned they had not bothered knitting the wraps on short rows as it is not noticeable on garter stitches, I tried both and have to agree so did not knit them either.
